Top 10 Best Duos | Bot Lane Synergy for League of Legends

Top 10 Bot Lane Duos

Synergy is the most important aspect of a bottom lane duo. There are certain champions who have kits that synergize with each other better than most. You can use the synergy of your bot lane duo to dominate a laning phase.

Here are the best duos with bot lane synergy:

10. Vayne and Alistar

Alistar and Vayne have very strong bot lane synergy.

Alistar is a great champion for punishing for mistakes. If an enemy oversteps even slightly, he can lock them down long enough for Vayne to land her Silver Bolts proc. If Alistar does his combo next to a wall, it sets Vayne up for the easiest condemn of her life.

He also has the tank stats to absorb some of the damage for her. In most cases, Alistar will even run Stoneborn Pact to negate damages dealt to Vayne.

That is, if they can even get to her. Alistar is the definition of crowd control. He can use his Headbutt to keep enemies away from Vayne, and if they manage to get onto her he always has his Pulverize.

9. Ashe and Miss Fortune.

It seems that Ashe and Miss Fortune have always had the bot lane synergy that they do now, but it only came to light at the Season 6 World Championships. Jong-in “Pray Kim and Beom-hyeon “Gorilla Kang, the bot lane at the time for ROX Tigers, were the pioneers of this bot lane duo, taking two games off of SK Telecom T1 by generating a gold lead on the bottom side of the map.

Ashe’s Enchanted Crystal Arrow paired with Miss Fortune’s Bullet Time is a combination that will forever be in the history books. Whoever the arrow hits is dead to rights.

Miss Fortune’s base damage on her ult is incredibly high, meaning she doesn’t need much to get going. Once this lane starts rolling, you see the true bot lane synergy shine when the levels hit 6.

8. Ezreal and Sona

Sona and Ezreal is one of the most ideal bot lanes for newer players. Ezreal has the mobility to stay safe, and Sona has the sustain for when you “accidentally” Arcane Shift forward.

On top of that, they have incredible lane presence. Ezreal has the capability to chip away at your health bar with Mystic Shot from afar, while Sona does the dirty work up close. Her poke is nothing to joke about. It’s not uncommon for you to see a Sona out-damage her ADC. With Ezreal helping her deal sustained damage, it is a lane you can’t afford to be in very long.

The actual bot lane synergy lies in their ultimate abilities. If Sona can land a good Crescendo, it leaves Ezreal wide open for a Trueshot Barrage. This will turn the tables on almost any fight in a matter of seconds.

7. Kog’Maw and Lulu

There’s no doubt that Kog’maw and Lulu have great bot lane synergy.

On paper, these champions were designed for each other. Lulu provides everything that a Kog’Maw could need. She has zoning tools, shields, attack and movespeed buffs, peel, and even a heal. If anyone can keep a Kog’Maw alive through his rough laning phase, it’s Lulu. Her early game prowess allows her to zone enemies off of cs, and more importantly off of Kog’Maw. Should an enemy slip past her defenses, they will quickly be turned into a bunny or ulted off of him.

The attack speed and movement speed buff she has does wonders for immobile Kog’Maw into the late game. She allows him to get way more autos off than he should, and makes sure he’s safe while doing it.

6. Xayah and Rakan

Okay, that last one was a lie. On paper, these two champions were designed for each other; and not only because they actually were.

These love birds have both romantic and bot lane synergy. That’s probably what makes them so deadly. Rakan’s kit reaches it’s peak when playing with a Xayah. It makes the already slippery Rakan the most mobile champion in the game. His shield dash range is doubled with playing with a Xayah. This allows him to go for engages that in other cases would be too risky to try.

Rakan can’t steal the whole show. Xayah is able to follow up on Rakan’s engages from long range, rooting enemies with her feathers while they are airborne.

They also have a really cool feature that makes them have very unique bot lane synergy: their recalls synchronize. So if Rakan is recalling and Xayah doesn’t want to miss any of her precious farm, she can have him start recalling and join after she picks up a few minions. Rakan can make some pretty funny plays if Xayah is recalling in a bush. He can confuse enemies by jumping into them and jumping back to Xayah and joining her recall. There’s not too much tactical use for this, but it’s a pretty fun mechanic.

5. Kalista and Taric

Kalista has a very fun and unique kit. What’s more fun than being able to save your support’s life with Fate’s Call? Being able to throw your support on the front lines to engage.

What better support to start a team fight than Taric? The knock up is a free stun for him, and it puts enemies in a position where they feel they have to focus him. This allows his team to position for Cosmic Radiance, allowing Kalista to get as many stacks down on her rend as possible before.

This doesn’t limit their abilities to team fighting though. Until both Kalista and Taric have ultimate, the early game will be rough. When you get there though, you can display your bot lane synergy in full. Kalista’s rend does surprising damage in the early stages of the game when she has enough stacks.

4. Twitch and Thresh

In order for Twitch to thrive, he needs to have peel and engage.

Thresh has everything that a Twitch needs and more.

His hook provides twitch with enough time to get enough time to get stacks of Contaminate down before Thresh decides to go in. If Thresh decides to go in, Twitch can pop Contaminate as soon as he gets max amount of stacks. Making the trade lopsided and tilting heavily in your favor. Should Thresh not decide to go in, Twitch can just pop Contaminate and continue farming.

Twitch and Thresh have the best bot lane synergy when their ults are in sync. Thresh’s box keeps them close together, and if they try to leave they are hit with a 90% slow. Even if your eyes are on the side of your head, you can’t miss.

3. Jhin and Karma

Jhin and Karma have bot lane synergy that is very simple to execute, but very effective.

You can thank Jhin’s Deadly Flourish for that. Deadly Flourish has a passive called Caught Out. Caught Out causes enemies that have taken damage from Jhin’s autos or an ally to be marked. This mark lasts for four seconds, and causes enemies to be rooted when hit by Deadly Flourish. Karma’s empowered Q marks an enemy and if Jhin presses W, they are trapped in Soulflare.

Jhin’s passive, Death in Four Acts, allows him to have a crit every four autos. When he has the fourth one up, Karma can speed him up and allow him to land an easy fourth shot without having to worry about any repercussions.

2. Caitlyn and Morgana

Caitlyn and Morgana. Such a timeless duo. They have been dominating the Rift since Cait stepped onto it in 2011. They have arguably the best bot lane synergy in the game.

The range of this lane is so oppressive. Caitlyn can just be farming a wave and Morgnna throws out a Dark Binding and a Tormented Soil and take out a third of the carry’s health. If Caitlyn places under the enemy while they are bound, they are almost guaranteed to die or at least burn a summoner. People know this, and are hesitant to walk up to farm, allowing Caitlyn to gain cs leads and generate gold advantages early.

1. Lucian and Braum

Last but certainly not least, we have Braum and Lucian. These champions are the pinnacle of bot lane synergy. Their Passives, Concussive Blows and Lightslinger, are what make their bot lane synergy what it is. Lucian’s passive allows him to pop Braum’s faster than any champion in the game. When Concussive Blows procs, Lucian has no problems dishing out damage.

Lucian’s ult, Culling, is very easily interrupted by crowd control abilities. Luckily, all he has to do is stand behind Braum. His Unbreakable shield can block any incoming projectiles, including auto attacks and CC. This allows Lucian to get a full channel Culling off almost any time, and thanks to his passive, he will have a double shot up as soon as his ult ends, which works wonderfully for getting Concussive Blows stacked up quickly.

Lucian and Braum have a bot lane synergy that can’t be matched.
